Golden Triangle Itinerary
The best of North India together with East India is brought to you in the Golden triangle tour package presented by the Best Indian Travel. Apart from the three travel destinations of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, which form part of the famed Indian Golden Triangle Tour, the other destinations which will be covered in this tour are Khajuraho, Orcha, Varanasi, Lucknow, Calcutta, Bhubaneshwar, Puri and Konark. The city of Delhi offers delights at every turn. From Delhi we would move on to Agra and its surrounding area, which contains many superb monuments built by the Mughal emperors. Then move on to Jaipur, built by the Rajput warriors after the decline of the Mughal Empire. Jaipur contains many palaces and interesting structures.

DAY 01 Arrival Delhi

On arrival, you will be met by our representative & transferred to hotel. Apart from being the Capital of world's largest democracy, Delhi is a fascinating city with pleasant contradictions. Evening free to stroll down the city streets. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 02 Delhi-Jaipur
Late morning tour to the city covering the 13th century Qutab Minar and the 4th century Iron Pillar nearby. Then visit India Gate, a memorial for those who laid down their lives in the World War I. See the official residence of the president of India, Rashtrapathi Bhawan, Parliament House and other government buildings.
Afternoon visit to Red Fort, built by Shahjahan in red sandstone, on the banks of Yamuna River. The fort has within itself Diwan - i - Am - the pillared Hall of Public Audience, Diwan-i-Khas - the Hall of Private Audience and the Pearl Mosque. Visit the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque and the famous bazaars of Chandni Chowk.
Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Jaipur. Check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel. Jaipur was founded by Raja jai Singh II, the 18th century Rajput king. Known as the Pink City, it is replete with magnificent palaces, forts and gardens.
DAY 03 Jaipur
After taking leisurely breakfast visit the Amber Fort and Palace and have a joy ride on an elephant. Set on a hill, Amber Fort was the capital of the princely state of Jaipur until 1728. The fort houses Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors), and several beautiful marble palaces. Visit the famous Hawa Mahal, or "Palace of Winds".
Afternoon tour to Jaigarh and Nagargarh Forts. Also take a trip to the Jantar Mantar, one of the five observatories built by Raja Jai Singh II. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 04 Jaipur-Agra
Morning depart for Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. Often referred to as "India's Pompeii", city of Fatehpur Sikri served as the capital of the Mughal empire from 1570 to 1586. Built by Akbar, the city was abandoned due to scarcity of water. The finest monuments within city area are the Diwan - i - Am, Diwan - i - Khas, Panch Mahal, Birbal's Palace, Buland Darwaza and the tomb of famous Sufi Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. Buland Darwaza was built in 1575 to commemorate the exploits of Akbar in Gujarat.
After reaching Agra transfer to the hotel and check in at the hotel. Evening visit to relish the wonderful sight of Taj Mahal at sunset. Overnight stay in Agra.
DAY 05 Agra
Morning visit to Sikandra, the tomb of Akbar. Also take an excursion to Itamad-Ud-Daula's tomb, precursor to the Taj Mahal. The tomb was built by Empress Noor Jahan, wife of Jehangir in memory of her father, Ghias-ud-din Beg, in 1622-25. Take a trip to the Agra Fort. Sunset visit to the Taj Mahal. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 06 Agra - Khajuraho Via Orcha
Morning depart by train to Jhansi. Assistance at railway station and transfer to Khajuraho via Orchha. Located on the banks of Betwa River set against the verdant hills and greenery, Orchha was the capital of the powerful Bundela kingdom. The place is unique in the sense that it has been successful in retaining its medieval charm. Overnight stay at Khajuraho.
